Every great journey starts with a single step, and mine began with a simple belief: the world is meant to be experienced, not just read about. I’m Saikat, and this is the unfolding story of how I stopped dreaming of adventure and started living it.

The Leap of Faith: Landing in the Philippines

My official first chapter as a travel blogger kicked off in the Philippines—and what an incredible introduction it was! It was more than a trip; it was a full-on immersion, a trial by fire that left me absolutely buzzing with experience.

From the chaotic, pulsing energy of Manila to the breathtaking limestone cliffs of El Nido and the gentle pace of life in the southern islands, the Philippines taught me invaluable lessons. I learned how to haggle for a tricycle, how to communicate with nothing but a smile and a hand gesture, and most importantly, how to slow down and appreciate the simple generosity of the Filipino people. Every sunset over the turquoise water felt like a painting, and every local dish was a burst of flavor and culture. It was amazing, transformative, and exactly the full-throttle, real-world experience I needed to fuel this journey.

What’s Next? The Shores of Thailand

Now, the adventure continues! I’m packing my bags and getting ready to trade palm-fringed islands for ancient temples and bustling markets. On November 3rd, I’m heading to Thailand!

Thailand represents the next big milestone in my story—a chance to delve into a new language, new spiritual traditions, and the legendary Thai cuisine. I’m eager to explore everything from the majestic ruins of Ayutthaya to the vibrant street life of Bangkok. I can’t wait to share those new stories, challenges, and jaw-dropping moments with you.
